As I noted, the big jump in hospitalizations that we saw in the last couple of weeks was likely to manifest itself in more deaths from COVID in the coming weeks. And that has now started, with a record number of deaths over the last 7 days. The case metrics are also bad. This includes the total number of cases and the numbers of positive tests vs people tested. Both are at record, epidemic highs, although the number of Wisconsinites tested is not. But hey, nothing to worry about if you're one of the special folks in GOP Bubble World right?Current COVID-19 map from @nytimes shows NE Wisconsin not looking so good. pic.twitter.com/XwkzZlJPEv

It was a privilege to speak with these accomplished women yesterday about the issues of the 3rd District. Hearing their stories emphasizes that we must come together to reopen our economy safely, get our kids back to school, and ensure law enforcement is supported to keep us safe pic.twitter.com/HbF1wgcKBz

And yes, there is a Wisconsin tie to the world's most famous COVID patient. Especially in how they tried to hide this information from the rubes that were planning to see him in these parts. Given what we've been told about Trump's COVID diagnosis, the White House staff had a strong idea that he had COVID by Wednesday. And yet, they were more than willing to have the show go on, no matter who got endangered.Great time speaking at the @1stDistrictGOP #FallFest event! Of note: Trump would have been holding a rally tonight in this county had he not been diagnosed with COVID-19. https://t.co/9vNyClJjSj

And here's the topper from a the WisGOP COVID Crew. They don't even have the guts to try to change the laws through the gerrymandered State Legislature, but instead are passing the buck to the courts. This would mean the Trump campaign was working to move one of two Wisconsin rallies that was supposed to be held today from La Crosse to Janesville - and finalizing plans for the Green Bay rally - after the president tested positive for COVID-19. https://t.co/DnSkay8GY0

Hours after @realDonaldTrump announced he was positive for COVID-19, Republicans who control the Wisconsin Legislature filed a motion in court supporting a lawsuit that would do away with the state's mask mandate
