WisGOPs whine about "opening the economy", but won't do anything to help us get there

"I hope the Governor and other officials in the administration understand the closing of 40 state parks for dubious reasoning at best is only one flashpoint in a growing revolt to how the Covid-19 response has been handled in Wisconsin," Nass wrote in an email to Evers' legislative liaison.

"This week has been a turning point in how the public now views some of the decisions made by this administration under the Governor’s Emergency Declaration and the uneven exercise of those emergency powers," he said....

Stroebel said Evers' orders should be re-evaluated and involve a "cost/benefit analysis."

"Every sickness and death is a tragedy, but so are businesses and livelihoods ruined by shelter in place orders," he said in a statement. "Besides being counterproductive, indefinite sheltering orders will eventually lead to civil disobedience."
So wait, Republicans were given 4 weeks to do something about the changing situation with COVID-19, either in voting or for economic items such as getting rid of the one-week wait to get unemployment benefits, and did ZERO. But now Dimwitted Duey, nASS and other right-wing hacks want Evers to revise his own orders because "businesses and livelihoods" are that important?

Sorry, you had your chance. You don't get to complain at this point about what others may or may not do. And by the way, you know what's guaranteed to keep the economy depressed? HAVING A LOT OF PEOPLE BE SICK AND NOT ABLE TO WORK. And not having a safe environment for others to work with them and for customers to go to.

While there has been a slowing in the RATE of growth of COVID 19 cases after social distancing was in place, there's not any evidence that this thing has peaked.

You'd especially think that Stroebel would care about Wisconsinites not spreading COVID-19, because the two counties he "represents" in the Legislature are especially being hit hard. If you get your "facts" from hate Radio and talentless tubs of goo like Jay Weber, you may not know that (you may have me blocked, but I saw that racist tweet, kid). But if you look at the breakdown of cases by county, you'll see that this disease is not just hitting the two big, densely populated cities in Wisconsin.

In fact, it's arguably worse for Duey's constituents than us in Madison, and the people in Waukesha County that are partially "represented" by Steve nASS are also not spared.

COVID 19 cases
Dane Co - 2nd in population, 2nd in cases (0.6 per 1,000)
Ozaukee Co - 18th in pop, 6th in cases (0.8 per 1,000)
Washington Co - 10th in pop, 7th in cases (0.5 per 1,000)
Waukesha Co - 3rd in pop, 3rd in cases (0.5 per 1,000)

COVID deaths
Dane Co - 2nd in pop, 2nd in deaths (12 out of 546K)
Ozaukee Co - 18th in pop, 3rd in deaths (9 out of 89K)
Washington Co - 10th in pop, 5th for deaths (3 out of 136K)
Waukesha Co - 3rd in pop, 4th in deaths (6 out of 404K)

And to deal with another bit of GOP fauxtrage, if you guys want to venture out into the rain/snow and go into some field to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus today, knock your socks off. Evers even said so himself. I understand that Good Friday/Easter is your favorite time of the year because you love to talk about persecution.

Here's what I ask for in return - can you promise not to use up our hospitals and use Medicaid/Medicare services if you get sick as a result? Fair's fair, right? These people never think it'll happen to them, and apparently are incapable of having a clue until it happens to them.
