A quick Jan. 30 history

Been reading "All the Presidents' Men" in the last few weeks. The paralells are striking, including the insistence from the White House and other GOP hacks that Watergate was "fake news" or being blown out of proportion. The only difference? More Republicans in Congress to muck things up, a Faux News network and RW talk radio GOP-perganda to trick the rubes, and paid foreign trolls on social media.

And if you look at's list of presidential approval ratings, Donald Trump's approval rating in the mid-to-upper 30s is very similar to Richard Nixon's levels at the time of the Saturday Night Massacre. And Nixon fell into the 20s and never recovered from that moment. Seems quite similar, doesn't it?

  1. The State of the Union speech tomorrow will be much like Walker's State of the State. It will be a campaign ad for whatever they happen to be currently $leeping with.

Trump knows the game, quite the con artist, he's seen just what the likes of Walker can get away with, and mainstream media could not care less while it makes a lot of money.

Nixon was bad, but Trump's using GOP resentment hate to get around that, and schticking us all now with something far worse.
